Not blocking some apps #218

Open GoogleCodeExporter opened 9 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 9 years ago
What steps will reproduce the problem?
1.Set up Droidwall to use a whitelist of allowed apps.
2. Non whitelisted apps are still able to get through.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
QR Droid, Anti SMS Spam and a couple of other applications are still able to
connect to the net.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
Rooted Galaxy S2 running Darky ROM based on 2.3.5

Please provide any additional information below.

While this may be more of a configuration issue, I'd like to know if there is
any system component that I may have allowed, which lets these apps piggyback
on it to fetch their ads.

I have a similar problem, I have a list of blacklisted apps. There's one that
doesn't get block from 3G no matter what I do.
Yes, the ads are one of the reasons for blocking but it's more than that, do
the ad blocker app doesn't work in this case.
This particular app is called Jefit, I hope somebody can take a look and fix
the issue.
I'm using an Xperia arc with stock ICS 4.0.4
