Hi!

This is not an issue of your package, but a "small" request.

We have been developing an R package during the last 2 years to make past maps and combine them with fossil data, and it is about to be released and submitted to the CRAN, scientific publication, etc. https://github.com/macroecology/pasta

and... we just realized that our chosen name is already taken by your package :-) (it is a terrific name, by the way). However, it seems that you only have one function, that is doing exactly the same as "paste".... so (don't get me wrong) but, it seems like a joke???! :-) So... I wonder (if it is a joke and you don't care too much about the name), if there is any possibility that you can change it...??

So, we can use the catchy "pasta" to help researchers in ecology and paleontology to remember about our package...

Hey there. It is not on me to change the name (@chrisschuerz should do it), but from the outside I dont get why you want to name your the package pasta.

Is it just a pun with the word past?

Hi @danklotz! we just think it is catchy. that's all. and yes, it is similar to "past" :-)
