How to Update ArkOS on RG351V Without WiFi? #415

First of all, thanks for your excellent work of bringing ArkOS to the RG351V!

I've downloaded the current image for the RG351V posted at the ArkOS Wiki page which is version v1.7 (05/15/2021). Since I don't have a WiFi dongle at the moment, my question is, are there any other options to update my device to the latest version v1.7 (08/29/2021)? It would be great if you could provide an updated image via the Wiki!

I've also thought of creating an up-to-date image myself and reading up on your Building article on the Wiki, but I'm a bit lost at the moment. There's a description of the various parts that make up the final image but I'm missing instructions on how to put it all together into one image that can be written to a SD card. Am I missing something?

Thanks!

The updates are online only. I will be posting an updated image eventually but been busy with work and haven't gotten to that yet. The 351V has internal wifi available. If you're environment has wifi, you should be able to just configure the internal wifi to make use of that.

For building the image, you'd have to first boot the base image I provided a link to. In order to do that with the V, you have to first build the kernel and the uboot and copy those to the flash boot partition on the sd card image after flashing the stock image to a sd card.
