Gif not loading when the Wifi is on Low Data Mode #1533

Describe the bug If the WiFi is set to Low Data Mode(not to be confused with system Low Power mode) the GIFs won't load at all. Clicking the GIF doesn't do anything but a black screen. I have waited several minutes to load but to no avail. It does load on the browser though just not in the app.

To Reproduce Steps to reproduce the behavior:

  1. Go to 'Setting'
  2. Click on 'WiFi'
  3. Click the "i" symbol next to the Wifi name
  4. Look for the radio button "Low Data Mode" and set it ON
  5. Open Apollo and look for GIFs

iOS version: 15.1 Apollo version: 1.11.7 iOS device: iPhone 11 Jailbroken: No Reproducible: Yes, reproducible.

Expected behavior If a GIF is on the feed expected behavior is to play it normally on the feed itself ( unless the AutoPlay GIFs settings in Apollo is set to "Never" which in my case was set to WiFi only but the problem still persists) as well as after clicking on the GIF.

I'm seeing the same issue with GIFs and videos.

I got the same issue with the low data mode for cellular.

Settings > Cellular > Cellular data option > Low Data Mode
