App progressively gets laggier until it crashes #299

Describe the bug As I keep using the app it gets laggier and takes longer to respond, and in the end always crashes when trying to open an image or gif.

To Reproduce Steps to reproduce the behavior:

  1. Go to a subreddit with lots of gifs
  2. View posts one by one
  3. After about 15 minutes the app is very laggy and barely responds
  4. App inevitably crashes when trying to load a long gif or high-quality image.

iOS version: 12.4 Apollo version : 1.5 iOS device: iPhone 6 Jailbroken: No Reproducible: Can’t reproduce it “exactly” the same every time, but it ALWAYS happens since I like to browse top-posts from gif subs.

Expected behavior Expected the app to respond as quickly as when I first open it

Video If genuinely interested, I’m willing to record a video. Additional context I never look at comments on image posts, I always enlarge the thumbnail and do that for each post.

I have the same bug, of it getting laggier until it crashes. Not sure if it's gif related but I certainly see a lot of gifs. I seems to see it more when looking at a web page but not always in there. Started happening around September too.

iOS version: 13.2.2 Apollo version : 1.6.4 iOS device: iPhone XR Jailbroken: No Reproducible: Yes
