Going to landscape on GIF- screen goes blank stays blank when back to portrait #388

Describe the bug

When tapping on a GIF, then rotating to landscape the screen goes black. Rotating back to portrait it stays black until swiping out of the screen. Also jumps down the posts list.

To Reproduce Steps to reproduce the behavior:

  1. Go to a GIF post, tap on the GIF to open the post
  2. Turn phone to landscape.
  3. See error

iOS version: 13.1.2 Apollo version: 1.6.2 iOS device: iPhone X Jailbroken: no Reproducible: yes. Every time.

Expected behavior GIF should open landscape.

Same. Been happening to me on two phones (iPhone X and XS Max) and iOS 12 and 13.

I happening for me in iOS 12 (latest version) in the most recent update to Apollo

Still happening as of the Halloween Update. iPhone X, latest OS.

Also, going back to list view and then tapping on same GIF a 2nd time it works correctly - reproducible.

Apparently this issue has been open since 2019 but still persists. No recent updates have fixed this behavior for me.

iOS version: 14.8 Apollo version: 1.12 iOS device: iPhone 8 Jailbroken: no Reproducible: Not all the time

Edit: I just tested and so far it's been random. When rotating back to portrait, the screen goes blank, and afterwards the votes and buttons disappear. See video.
