Source Code availability #2

Could you please provide your SWF's source code (since you released it under
LGPL)?
This is just for security reasons, we don't really know what we include in our
application if it's in binary form.

Thank you a lot for your great work!

I think you are in violation of the LGPL license for posting a binary file by
not making the source code freely available. Apart from the security issues
mentioned by someone else, there is the issue of being left in the cold with a
un-useful SWF file if you decide to abandon this project later on, move it in
another other direction or even sell it.

This is a very good application and will help to make communication a free
human right, so please consider contributing to the Open Source community.

Source code of SWF file will help!
Otherwise, it would be hard for everyone to use this one.

"The examples are open source (LGPL) but the Flash VideoIO component itself is
not." If VideoIO.swf is not open source, which license is it under? Please
clarify.

The VideoIO.swf is also LGPL. The source code (VideoIO.as) has been checked in
after a long debate with my early co-author. The only major concern was that
other developers could use the code without contributing back any improvements,
and there is no way to detect the misuse of LGPL. Thus it is our humble request
to please please contribute back any improvements. If you have major
improvements, we will be happy to add you as a committer/contributor. Thank you!

Thank you for convincing your co-author to release the source code. With the
release of Google Chrome which has support for WebRTC, events have now
overtaken this decision. Thanks anyway.

Please use the Makefile to compile the sources on Unix/Linux/Mac platform. You
need to update the MXML and MXML45 paths. If using Flex builder or on windows,
you can look at the command line options of mxmlc from the Makefile and use
those in the Flex Builder project settings. Especially, CONFIG::sdk4 are
defined on command line.
