Display list view option #5

When viewing a directory, the initial page is empty unless I click on a letter. Sample here: https://civi47.tadpole.cc/directory/members/

Using a profile with shortcode, when adding force="1" in it shows all listings based and then the filters can be used to filter further, it looks something like this:

[civicrm component="profile" gid="16" mode="search" hijack="0" force="1"]

Can a setting be added to do something similar, so the directory has some contacts shown by default if wanted?

Adding a note based on check-in, this will need some sort of pagination too.
