the configure can not be kept

After I configured it well and closed it, then I start it again, but the
configure which I've done is lost and many of the settings is set to default.

The lost settings may be different. Sometimes they are these, and sometimes
they are others.

The version of player is 1.0.8-1. My OS is ubuntu(raring, x86_64).

What version of gmtk do you have installed? This would be useful to know what 
backend is installed. I have see some cases where dconf is being used, but the 
backend code for dconf is not installed. Please run gnome-mplayer with the -v 
option from the terminal and then change a preference and see if any messages 
are displayed on the terminal and paste theme here.
