Allow compressed files in all data_xxx functions #9

It would be nice, if the function to cache downloads would work with compressed files as well. Most big files on the internet are compressed these days.

Thanks for the suggestion. Can you send an example you'ld like to be able to download, etc and I'll see what I can do.

It could get tricky because there are a number of different compression formats and different ways that compressed files can be arrange. But I'll give it a shot.
