Anomalous iRep values #27

Dear Christopher, I would like to ask you a suggestion regerding results recently obtained using iRep. I am analyzing a set of Metagenome Assembled Genomes. Regarding "coverage", "completeness", "contamination", etc., I considered the parameters suggested in the software manual. Results seem reasonable and in agreement with previous findings reported in literature, except a small fraction of very high iRep values (comprised between 5 and 10). I noticed that in the additional files (and in the figures) included in your paper “Measurement of bacterial replication rates in microbial communities” you did not report values higher than approx. 3. I would ask if in your opinion the high "index of replication (iRep)-thresholds" values obtained in our project are not reliable and should be removed or, on contrary, if they could represent interesting results. Thank you in advance, Sincerely
