Not present. Needs to be.

At bare minimum, verification that the e-mail attempting to register exists.

At best, an e-mail sent to the user's email that contains a link that activates the account.

E-mail field now changes color based on correct/incorrect syntax. Django has a way to send e-mails, looking into that for verification of account.
