Is there a reason we're using the alpha version? Wondering for stability reasons.

@skitterm the 2.0 line is still in alpha. We've been using alpha.4 this whole time, which was published a year ago. alpha.11 is the newest at 6 months ago, and has the bulk of the downloads.
