Current Behaviour

Casting Gift of the Naaru on Draenei Survivor causes you to enter combat and become flagged for pvp. This action is required for the quest Rescue the Survivors!.

Expected Blizzlike Behaviour

Draenei Survivors should receive the buff without flagging pvp or entering combat.

Video from retail Video is from Cataclysm, but it's exactly as I remember it from Wrath in retail.

Steps to reproduce the problem

1. Create or take an un-flagged Draenei to Ammen Vale in Azuremyst Isle
2. Cast Gift of the Naaru on any of the Draenei Survivors on the ground.

Extra Notes

According to the database, each class's Gift of the Naaru is a different spell ID. In my case it was the Priest version, but it's possible this bug is only on one or some of them.

Hello, Thanks for the report. I believe you are partially correct. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Wwo5P1TqmR4 From TBC Classic shows the character getting flagged. The video you linked and this one from TBC classic https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S1Kgld1YBlk Plus many others shows them not getting flagged. I spent most of the time trying to figure out why one got flagged over the others.

I believe this depends on the type of server the character is played on. While it's hard to tell if it is a PVP or PVE server on the video. I think this shares a similar mechanic to this issue https://github.com/chromiecraft/chromiecraft/issues/700 where NPC's cause flagging if interacted with. (killed or healed)

Regardless I do not believe that these should flag you on CC, and combat should not be entered into at all.

Regarding Gift of the Naaru spell ID, as mentioned being different for each class, here is a list in case anyone needs:

• 28880 - Warrior, heals based on Attack Power
• 59542 - Paladin, heals based on Spell Power or Attack Power, whichever is higher
• 59543 - Hunter, heals based on Attack Power
• 59544 - Priest, heals based on Spell Power
• 59545 - DK, heals based on Attack Power
• 59547 - Shaman, heals based on Spell Power or Attack Power, whichever is higher
• 59548 - Mage, heals based on Spell Power
