Aliens were never meant to have those buildings and no asset is drawn for
non-human species. The best you can do is to enable the same building view for
all other races. The upgrade system was put in to help in these situations
(e.g., have a lvl 3 power plant for about the same cost).
Technology stealing and utilization should already exist. Garthogs can take
your colony and build a fusion reactor from then on even if the can't do it on
their colonies. If they find a trade center, they will be able to build it.
The original game was highly constrained among these lines. Some have asked for
the ability to build alien vehicles as human if you capture a planet with a
factory. But there is no room on screen to reliably manage such situation,
although the model is not restricted.
I'll think about this, however, the solution might not be embedded into the
skirmish settings but made possible by the campaign editor.

The idea was that they'd take a human colony with the building, and then they
could build it on their own colony, with the human asset(graphics)
It should be optional(an option in Skirmish) but I think it would add some
extra fun for the aliens who are really limited like the Ychom, and who would
be easy targets for other races due to their inability to advance to the same
state of technology that Dargslan and Humans have.
