That sounds like a reasonable idea. Firebug does it, while Firefox find bar 
prefers
not to. Did you know you can quickly close the window by hitting the Escape key?
There is always the X icon on the left if you prefer to use the mouse, but 
keyboard
shortcuts are faster.
