Alert window should be more usable/customizable #52

After trying out the attached piece of code that adds multiple lines to the
alert window, I guess it would be nice to try to make it more
usable/customizable by manipulating
chrome://global/content/alerts/alert.xul directly.

Customizable font size and multiple lines would be cool.

About manipulating firefox contents, how can we do that?

Also I meant manipulating the window before it appears. At the past we had been
talking about finding something better alert than nsIAlertsService, but I don't 
think
it will come.

Oh, you mean popping up our own window, reusing the Firefox code? I love that! 
Can you implement a quick 
and dirty patch to try?

Now that I've actually looked at the patch, I realize we're talking about 
modifying
the alert window after the fact. A kludge to be sure, but if it works without 
flicker
or other noticeable visual artifacts, it might just work.
