Auto submit "is" to Facebook status #54

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Open FireStatus
2. Enter status (for example "feeling the deadline pressure ...")
3. Select Twitter and Facebook to receive
4. Send status

This is really not a problem with FireStatus, but an enhancement
possibility. Since Facebook insists on starting each status with the
username, sending a status update to both Facebook and Twitter makes one of
them ungrammatical. Using the above example:

Facebook: "Stace feeling the deadline pressure ..."
Twitter: "Feeling the deadline pressure ..."

Could you consider some kind of check box or command line switch to include
"is" (or allowing the user to specify his or her own verb) in Facebook
posts while not including the verb in Twitter?

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
FireStatus 1.5, Windows XP SP3, Firefox 3.0.5

Thanks for getting back to me quickly on my earlier question, and for
putting up with this suggestion.

Stace

This is a great idea - it's exactly what I'd like to see also

I wouldn't mind if this could be extended to have prefix/suffix fields for each
service. That way if you wanted to you could put "says '" and "'" into the
pre/suffix fields so that when it posted to FB it would be

Joe Dunkelhower says "<insert status update here>".

Since we try to keep the interface uniform to all services, this cannot be done
