Firestatus is unable to post to facebook and twitter #74

Installed on Firefox 3.6.3 on Ubuntu Lucid Lynx. Two days ago and no update
on Firefox since then.

Using Firestatus to post simultaneously to Facebook and Twitter. On past
executions I get prompts from the LastPass extension to confirm the
password to allow to post to Twitter but since yesterday I am not getting
any prompt or error message. Tried to post the message a few minutes later
but same effect.

FF Extensions installed:
  - Addblock plus 1.2
  - Blocksite 0.7.1.1
  - Download Statusbar 0.9.6.8
  - Fast video download 3.0.8
  - Firestatus 1.9
  - Flashblock 1.5.13
  - Greasemonkey 0.8.20100408.6
  - LastPass 1.68.2
  - Ubuntu Firefox Modifications 0.9rc2
  - Weave Sync 1.2.3
  - Yoono 7.1.6 (recent addition after Firestatus failed to perform the
updates)

Problem occurs in my netbook running Windows XP and Firefox 3.6.3. Installed
extensions are the following:

  - Adblock plus 1.2
  - Blocksite 0.7.1.1
  - Download Statusbar 0.9.6.8
  - Downthemall 1.1.9
  - Echofon 1.9.6.3
  - Firestatus 1.9
  - Flashblock 1.5.13
  - Foxyproxy 2.19.1
  - Greasemonkey 0.8.20100408.6
  - Java Console 6.0.15
  - LastPass 1.68.2
  - Weave Sync 1.2.3

Beginning to think this is related to FF 3.6.3 unless other users disagree.

I'm not seeing this with Firefox 3.6.3. There are two things you can do to help
us debug this:

- check the Firefox Error Console (Tools -> Error Console) for any messages
from firestatus, or attach the
whole log so we can take a look
- try disabling some of the other extensions you are using that may be
interfering with firestatus (you
mentioned LastPass for instance)

I'm using Weave Sync myself, so it can't be the culprit, and I used to have
installed Greasemonkey and
FoxyProxy, too, but not any longer. And of course I have the Ubuntu mods in my
Linux desktop without any
issues.

Error console has this:

  Twitter response: Not Authorized

Even when one of the tabs has twitter open and I am logged in. KeePass is
inactive.
Facebook update is now going through though. I also have lots of dom parsing
errors
and warnings but I can't figure out how to export these in one go.

Do you enter your username and password in the FireStatus preferences dialog,
or do you leave them empty? Can
you try the latter?

I don't enter a password as I always login to the homepage directly (or let
keepass
manage it for me). Ill try specifying a password in the preference page. Thanks.
