Feature Request: slideshow pictures and video together #139

When I enter an album the photos and videos are separated for the purpose of starting a slideshow, I'd like to do both together.

Am I missing something?

Slide shows are photo specific or you can play videos, not both in a single selection today. It's been thought about in the past but have never had any requests for it. We'll keep it in for consideration.

This is the primary reason that I use Google Photos. The slideshow shows videos along with the photos. My slideshows always include strategically placed short video clips. Photo View is not useful to me without this feature

We love the Google Photo View app, thanks for providing it.

Google Photos now supports mixing photos and videos in "slideshow" playback as a standard feature. I am not sure if it was included in the API. It was an excellent enhancement. If you could implement it here it would be great.

One additional feature would make it perfect - the ability to switch sound on and off. We usually leave a show running while people are over (and by ourselves) and when using Google Photos directly often have to sprint to the volume as a video blasts out it's own sound over the top of whatever else we are playing.

Add me to the list of users requesting this feature. Google Photos doesn't discriminate against videos that are interspersed with photos in an album, so Photo View shouldn't either.

I installed this app with the hopes of making a mixed videos+photos screensaver for my Roku tv. If this feature ever gets completed you'll be the only service to have done it correctly. Other's have tried, none seem to work...

@ibdone - Roku doesn't allow Video's to be played in the screensaver. Due to this limitation, only photos are played.

I would like to request this feature as well. We want to be able to include videos in our slide shows so that we can break up the stream of pictures with some videos.
