jo (for me the opposite of jq) is a command-line tool to create a JSON on stdout from words given it as arguments or read from stdin. Stumbled across this today as the tool was mentioned on Twitter by curl creator Daniel Stenberg.

I think the short description should be changed to JSON output from a shell, as that's what's on the man page (so the official short description, if this is correct), and because the current one goes quite a bit over the usual 80 column limit.
