BUG report #729

Closed GoogleCodeExporter closed 8 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 8 years ago
I get the following message with each extraction:

The Unarchiver does not have permission to write to this folder. To allow The
Unarchiver to write to this folder, simply click "Extract". This permission
will be remembered for this folder and The Unarchiver will not need to ask for
it again.

It asks every time, regardless of disk or folder.

I've added the program to those in the system preferences panel: Security &
Privacy, Accessibility.
That entry has resolved permission issues with other programs, but not with
yours.

this is really bothersome. please advise.

Thank you,
Mark

I'm on a Mac Pro and a MacBook Pro, both running 10.9.1

Try to run "defaults delete cx.c3.theunarchiver" in Terminal.app.

Good! This is a strange and rare bug and I've never had it happen to myself so
I could figure out what causes it. That command fixes it, though.

I continue to have this problem despite having run the Terminal command
multiple times.
