The installation instructions are a bit vague:

Add template sensor ha-configuration.yaml to your configuration file in Home Assistant.

The ha-configuration.yaml is not a valid template sensor, so I am not quite sure how to install this?

Hi. It means to add the contents of ha-configuration.yaml to your configuration file in HA as a template sensor. There is an assumed high level of 'tinker' involvement in this with knowledge of HA and how the config and YAML work.

Try adding the contents as a new template sensor and let us know how you get on?!

If you have a packages directory (which I highy recommend,) just put the line template: at the very top of the file and then drop it in that directory.

I need to get on with that and update my config to use packages!!! aargh!!!!!
