When will the driver be released for Catalina?

Good question. I built the fork from @athlonreg on Catalina and....nothing.

10.14 and 10.15 have removed the AirPortAtheros40.kext required for this kext to work. Reinstall AirPortAtheros40.kext manually and it may work (I've never done this, I've just inspected the code and got to this conclusion)

Hi! I make it work in MacOS Catalina by installing IO8211Family.kext from MacOS HighSierra, for AR9463 it works super fast detecting 2,4 and 5,8 ghz. In order to make it I use hacktool in S/L/E. Don't give up!

I can’t remember well but I’d check the IO8211Family.kext from which version of high Sierra and install ATH9KFixup.kext and remove any existing trace of this and other kexts with the help of dpciManaguer app.

In the same boat with my ath9462 on Catalina. Not working, nothing shows up. Tried installing AirPortAtheros40.kext but that didn't make a difference either. How can I debug this? (Are there logs somewhere maybe?) @marcosperalta would you mind elaborating where you got IO8211Family.kext from and your install process? Did you put it in clover or s/l/e? I'd really appreciate any insight thanks!

EDIT: Resolved. Followed this thread and installed kexts from there.

Is the above link works for ath9485. I managed to work the adaptor on Mojave but at very low speeds <1 mbps so thought of upgrading to Catalina just to make the wifi working.
