MMM needs more levels of logging granularity #9

I think MMM needs to have more than just debug logging. Certainly changing
the status of any server (and the reason why!) should be loggable without
logging every single ping and check, which I think is all that's possible
right now.  But I could be wrong.

This is already possible. You have to define a log file with "level trap" it 
will
contain only relevant messages (state changes, failed checks, etc.).

I've added a LogTrap with the initial state of new hosts in r134.
