[Important] CYD is discontinued (at least for now) #19

I'm sorry for having to announce this, especially for the long-time users like @Nicholas-Steel, @Deerath and @DesertStars. However, my free time is pretty spare this time around and I really couldn't find any to further maintain this project. This combined with the constant changes on Google's side and the fact that the demand for an extension like this is increasingly shrinking (more and more users are getting used to the new design), I think it's not really worth the hassle.

Going forward, it could of course be that I eventually come back to the project again and continue development - just don't get your hopes too high. In the meantime, I can recommend you these two alternatives:

They both have their own issues, but at least they get regular updates and have better dark mode support 😉

This is sad to hear this since Youtube pretty much feels unusable without this extension, but I can imagine it's really annoying to maintain an extension like this given Google always changes something about Youtube every other day or so. Thanks for all you've done so far and for mentioning alternatives as well.

Thanks, it was great while it lasted. I'll keep using it until it's significantly broken.
