create code for stages #27

Code for Growth Lab paper with Ulrich Schetter, Dario Diodato, Eric Protzer on the topic "Genotypic Product Space". Some parts of the code are general-purpose and could be added to this repository.

Unclear to me what this PR is for. Please submit an issue with a description of what problem it is you're trying to solve, and what the proposed solution is before submitting PR's.

@shreyasgm - just added a brief description. There is no associated issue for this PR. It just contains additional code, some of which is general-purpose enough that I thought it could be added to this repo at a later stage. At the moment this is a draft PR.

Hi @ostapstefak99 , thanks for the comments. At the moment, this project is standalone, and would not include methods from the paper you mentioned. I'm going to close this PR - please develop your project separately first, and when you and the other authors think its ready, let's have a meeting to discuss how / whether to integrate the project in this MIT-licensed repo.
