Add Technical outcome pages #492

On the homepage we currently have use cases and industry verticals. It'd be great to have a dedicated section for technical outcomes.

@paularah I've been really intrigued with cilium & ebpf for the past 6 months and have some experience trying out cilium and it's counterparts. with regards to the lfx mentorship , are there any additional project proposals being planned or in discussion for the June-August term?

Hi @paularah , I am interested in working on this issue, I have been doing some research around the same, I have some questions, Are there any guides or documents I should read? What are you expectation on technical outcome pages or it should similar to use cases and industrial experience pages?

Hello @paularah,

I'm really excited about applying for this project under the LFX mentorship program. From what I've understood, our goal is to enhance the Cilium website by adding new sections that demonstrate how Cilium can help achieve specific technical objectives like Zero Trust Networking, Network Automation, Distributed Firewalling, Cost and Carbon Savings, and Multi-cloud Connectivity. We'll also need to add a dedicated section for these topics in the website's navbar. We'll be using React to build these pages, which also have some supporting materials from the community.

But, I'm a bit unsure about how we are planning to use Gatsby here. Are we planning to use Gatsby to create template and fetch new sections from markdown, or will we create separate React pages for each topic?

Please let me know if I'm misunderstanding anything.

Hey @lavishpal pretty much similar to the use cases and industry pages. There are aren't any specific guides per say, but the marketing materials(blogs, videos, case studies, talks) from the Cilium community is a good start.

@rohitsrma Gatsby is react based and you'd most likely not touch anything beyond the standard react stuff. I wouldn't worry about that.

Hi @paularah, I’m currently studying for the Cilium associate cert and I’d love to work on this issue. However, after following the documentation, I’m having issues deploying the website locally to play with it. If you can provide a simpler way, I’d appreciate it.

I finally fixed it, I switched to a 16GB VM.

The error I was previously getting: When I did an npm run build I got a FATAL ERROR: Ineffective mark-compacts near heap limit Allocation failed - JavaScript heap out of memory then it aborts.

@xmulligan thank you, I have applied and I only noticed there are use cases, thats why I wanted to read through them.

I have configured the menu items as per your instructions and added dedicated vertical for Technical Outcome Section. Could you please check if this meets your requirements? The remaining work is still in progress.

Hey @deepak814795 The mentee would be the one working on this issue. So it's best you wait till the selection. You can take a stab at other open issues on the repo. Some heads up, the bulk of this is writing the content for each technical outcome.
