KSPIV amplifier must be "enabled" by Radio app before any other app can make sound #3

No other apps (Waze, Pandora, YouTube, etc.) make any sound unless you open Radio and select a station first. Selecting the station in Radio seems to enable the amplifier and it then stays enabled when you exit Radio.

After the amplifier is enabled by Radio and I'm listening to Pandora, putting the vehicle in Reverse cuts the amplifier completely regardless of the user setting to attenuate the volume on Reverse or not. Once in Drive, I have to open Radio again to re-enable the amplifier.
