TableQuery: error #86

After reading the following csv file (locally, not from the URL),

https://catalog.data.gov/dataset/electric-vehicle-population-data

And then adding a TableQuery filter, the following error is thrown:

near "(": syntax error near "(": syntax error [SQL ERROR] no such table: input
