Marineregions.org or Geonames DB for locations? #1

Marineregions.org currently has support for the Canadian Geographical names Database (CGNDB), but only for undersea features (per https://www.marineregions.org/sources.php).

Searching e.g. 'Cole Harbour, both a harbour and a community near Halifax, the marine regions gazzetteer gives no results https://www.marineregions.org/gazetteer.php?p=search

Searching the same in the Canadian Geographical Names DB gives useful results http://www4.nrcan.gc.ca/search-place-names/search

The metadata TT has added marine regions as the recommended resource for location names in the v2 profile MD_DataIdentification section, however in many cases it may be better to use CGNDB?

Where are we thinking of placing this information typically? Within the EML or the DwC-A? I'm not particularly fond of placing a location into every single data point, but it might be necessary in datasets where there are data from multiple locations.

In the EML/IPT entry page for record level location information, can we not use more than one thesaurus as needed? View https://eml.ecoinformatics.org/schema/eml-resource_xsd.html#ResourceGroup_keywordSet for details
