Missing unit for flow rate: don't recall receiving units with flow rate int he olden days. Units are available for more recent files. If the values seem somewhere near 1 that makes sense. We could assume the unit is L/min.
It does seem indeed that the values are ~1 for the flow_rate variables with no units available. I can generante a temporary variable to review all those different files and make sure they are within this ~1 range.

That would be a good check - then we could review the ones with larger discrepancies.
@guanlu129 regarding the flow_rates, I suspect all the variables including the ones with no units are all L/min.
Here are the min-max values associated with each variable (here):
flow_rate [L/min]
flow_rate_no_units Please ignore the units provided in that graph which I accidentaly added to the ERDDAP dataset.
Would agree - we could make this assumption to assign L/min to measurements without a unit.
@guanlu129 Sounds good to me! Let's default units for flow_rate to L/min for TOB files then
Unknown BODC code: Temperature:Lab [deg C (ITS90)] TEMPSZ01 Temperature:Intake [deg C (ITS90)] TEMPTC01 flow_rate [L/min] INFLTF01 flow_rate_fl [L/min] INFLTF01
Awesome thanks @guanlu129 I can now close this issue
A few variables are missing either unit within the original file or related vocabulary: related dataset https://pac-dev2.cioos.org/erddap/tabledap/IOS_TOB.html

Unknown BODC vocabulary

A number of temperature-related variables were detected and I'm wondering if there are any related variables ex https://www.waterproperties.ca/osd_data_archive/Cruise_Data/2018/2018-039/Underway/2018-039-0001.tob
