I have tried (using the color selection tool) the red part of the lure as well
as the
cream part. I have done this over 10 times on each getting different shades of
the
same color. I doubt once more will do anything. Its not that it is putting the
box
around something else its that it cant find it at all.

I have this same issue, ever since getting a new computer - I'm running snow
leopard 10.6.1
I don't remember which GoneFishing version I used to use when it worked, but
now I am using 1.1.6
GoneFishing used to work very well for me using Tiger 10.4.... but I haven't
tried it in several months (last
year some time) so I don't know if it's a patch change, a change in
gonefishing, or a change with my OS.
In the past, GF was very easily able to "find" the bobber by placing the
"scan-color"ed-box around the bobber
(when I used the color selection tool, it was easy)... Now, I use the color
selection tool on various distinct
parts of the bobber, and it will never "find" it. It never draws a box
anywhere around anything, and keeps
"flashing" the UI (option-z) trying to find it, just as Lt.Shinta reported. I
tried different settings, such as "Keep
WoW interface visible while fishing" or "Allow fishing with WoW in the
background" and neither have any
effect.... it seems the bobber just won't be found no matter what color I pick
with the selection-tool.
