so, here is my first function. i think it does what it is supposed to be doing. i have a few questions though:

• how do i create a test for that function?
• for some reason, despite the import of pycircstat/descriptive it does not find resultant_vector_length... any ideas?

Writing a test is easy:

• create a new file in the directory called test_tests.py
• inside the file create a function called test_rayleightest. This function basically creates an example and tests whether it is solved correctly. Just have a look at the examples in the test_descriptive.py file to see how this works.
• these files will be executed by Travis when you issue a pull request
• an easy way for you to run the tests is by using the command "nosetests tests/" in the git base directory (where pycircstat and tests is).

Why it does not find the resultant_vector_length:

• if you use "from pycircstat import descriptive" you have to call the function as descriptive.resultant_vector_length
• alternatively you can use "from pycircstat.descriptive import resultant_vector_length" or "from pycircstat import resultant_vectorlength" since the init _.py already imports everything from descriptive into core pycircstat.
