Description of reason for hardware mod? #2

Hey, the project lists some hardware modifications (as „awg and dwm mod“). While the firmware dump files were helpful to me to unbrick an 2D72, I cannot seem to find any information what this hw mod is for. Is it useful to perform on any 2D72, or what is the purpose? Perhaps readme file could be expanded?

AWG is the waveform generator, it uh generates a waveform. DMM is digital multimeter, kinda self explanatory.

Hey, thanks, but I am aware what the abbreviation mean ;-) The question was more, what do the hardware modifications improve? Whats the purpose of the modifications? In what way do they improve the generator and multimeter?

It looks like it improves it... the awg is really quite poor, and doesn't do an accurate job on anything but the square wave.
