Some thoughts #4

  1. Group consecutive articles together to form a "book", for example, we can have "C++ - beginner" & "C++ intermediate" & "C++ advanced" article been grouped together with tag like "C++" (maybe need secondary indexing), For the drawbacks of some tech blog the authors often don't write things gradually by date and they may need to add links to his previous/next article of one series, it costs effort to find.
  2. You may need to tackle the huge storage of unstructured data like images/videos as illustration and make sure the broken links are well handled.

Will update to this thread more occurs to me. All in all, it's an awesome idea.

Thanks for the suggestions Return!

Grouping: my intention is that authors will create a table of contents themselves, and this will be shown exactly as they wrote it, so it would show their articles in the intended sequence.

Images / videos: yes, I will likely stay away from videos entirely and just let YouTube host them. For images, one dream I have is to allow storage proportional to reputation as mentioned at: https://github.com/cirosantilli/write-free-science-books-to-get-famous-website/tree/d77b18d2e7acb3558615797c36195f60dfd26306#secondary-further-features

Broken link handling: this is a top priority, links must never break and if they do users will be notified.
