Now that Cirrus builds are no longer free for OSS projects, many orgs will start to hit their limits. Plenty of users would probably be willing to chip in a few $$$ to help, but right now it's difficult for them to do that. AFAIK, the only way to buy compute credits is through https://cirrus-ci.com/settings/github/ , but only members of YOUR_ORGANIZATION can do it. If the public wishes to chip in, they need to send money to an organization member, who then has to forward it to Cirrus. That requires more labor, and more trust. I think that some users would be more willing to donate if they could go straight to Cirrus.
Would you consider making a version of the https://cirrus-ci.com/settings/github/ that's publicly accessible? Perhaps with only the "Compute Credits" and "Compute Monthly Usage of managed-by-us instances" panes. Then projects could provide a link to users, and wouldn't have to be money middlemen.
