I don't think I'll be expanding cffconvert to include the "to-cff" counterpart anytime soon, but luckily some others seem to have worked on this. From the CHANGELOG over at https://github.com/monperrus/bibtexbrowser/:

Haven't worked with any of these myself, but they look like they may be able to help you out. Found them via the tools table over at https://github.com/citation-file-format/citation-file-format/tree/5079fd8c4f226498582fd46bf48cda847cb21b79
Would be awesome if you could convert from .bib to .cff You could start with .bib files that contain only one reference if that is easier!
