Mendeley CSL implementation issues

Just to keep track of a few issues specific to Mendeley (with Carles on leave, I haven't had much luck getting hold of anybody at Mendeley to report them too):

It looks like Mendeley currently doesn't let the "default-locale" value of dependent styles override that of their independent parent. See https://github.com/citation-style-language/styles/pull/2328#issuecomment-266229988
Mendeley current doesn't render display="block" correctly when citing items through their Word plugin. Some CSL authors are resorting to adding hard-coded line breaks, but that's not a good workaround. No one very responsive I'm afraid. Pretty sure these are still issues in Mendeley desktop

Elsevier is also moving over to "Mendeley Reference Manager" (Mendeley Desktop being phased out). Actually, it's not possible to install custom styles with that.
