TOPIC: copying from Drive messing up the layout

What is the problem? When I copied text from Drive to the topic, it messes up the layout (spacing, fonts). When you manually fix it in the editing mode, it looks fine but as soon as I save it, layout becomes messy, colours don't work (tried to make each decision making part of the document in green text). Also, font sizes, spacing, bullet points, etc were not saved even though it appeared fine in the editing mode.

Why is this a problem? Creates additional work for users, visually looks odd and not appealing.

Possible solution. Check how to make sure copying from other documents can be done in a way that fonts, spaces and bullet points remain intact and that it looks the same after saving as in the editing mode.

I just tried myself now that Etherpad has been updated, and it seems like there's progress, but it's still not great.

When I copied and pasted a document with different size headings, bullet points and some text in bold, the bullet points did get carried across, but all the text was pasted the same size, and none of it was bold.

Also, when I publish it, there are very large gaps between sections (below top), which there are not in edit mode (below, bottom)

@ilmartyrk, are any of these things which we can fix ourselves, our it's just how Etherpad works and so we have to accept it (or stop using it)?
