FOLLOW-UP: Action phase not mentioned on the logged out DB #1378

@kevincrepin Something pointed out by one user is that the Action (Follow-up) phase isn't mentioned on the logged out dashboard.

The user wasn't sure if it should be, but mentioned it. I'm not sure myself either. But raising it in case you think it's worth considering :)

Admins do tend to use this page to understand how the platform works when they first arrive, so may be good to mention it at some point there, if we want to actively encourage more use of it (I understand follow-up has generally been rarely used, in the old platform). Or simply to showcase all the main features we have to offer to attract prospective users checking out how it works.

But it's also not causing any usability issues not to having it, I don't think.

I think we initially left it out because it's not a starting point for a topic so there would be no CTA attached to it. Not sure in the future if it will remain that way and especially when we move towards multiple phases.

I quickly made two versions.

In this the action phase is basically "another phase" in the bigger picture. If the action phase will also be a phase that can be added several times (and so not function as a "final phase to wrap up the topic") then this would be the way to go. Screenshot 2024-07-08 at 11 33 14

If the action phase would serve as the "specific phase that would wrap up the topic" then it's a bit different from the other phases and I think we should not show it in exactly the same way then either. Screenshot 2024-07-08 at 11 38 15

So depends a bit on what direction we'll take with this. PS: copy needs to be more thought through as well and in some places it's just a copy of other phases ;)

@kevincrepin OK yes very good point that action phase could sometimes also be a topic starting point if we have multiple phases, or even an entire topic on it's own. A couple of the admins in community decision use case UX tests were saying they would create a separate topic specifically to update people on something that had happened offline. They were thinking to use the topic text for that, but am thinking now that potentially a topic that's only an action phase could potentially be a better way to do that.

So I guess we could just add it like this for now if it's a quick job for @ilmartyrk? (But with adjusted copy - happy to provide some ideas).

Is fairly low priority though I think.

@ilmartyrk @ssin1901 Will put this in 'soon' for now, and assign myself to propose some tweaked copy for it

Here now is my proposed text:

Put the decision into action!

Once you've come to a decision with input from everyone involved, you can post plans and updates about putting it into action! This allows everyone to follow its progress, and see the results of their participation.
