@tejeswarm we hadn't mentioned MERGE in the docs previously, so perhaps this is the only change we need?
Another question is whether there is something we should add to the common error messages page relating to a user doing an unsupported merge. That would help them search their error message. (Unless the error message is itself clear enough that the docs wouldn't add anything...)
