Migrate to Amazon VPC #268

Amazon VPC enables complete control over your virtual networking environment, including selection of your own IP address range, creation of subnets, and configuration of route tables and network gateways.

As such it has always been the better platform from an operational perspective and a rolling update of Amazon EC2 in 2013 enabled Virtual Private Clouds for Everyone! as the default modus operandi accordingly (just completed as of December 4th).

Increasing demand suggest to tackle this now to gain the attached benefits (see https://github.com/cityindex/logsearch/issues/149#issuecomment-30306658), also, recent major CloudFormation improvements are making this much easier now (see #256).
