GIS Service Request

Requester: N. Wilkes Issue Description: Convert STRS point data to lines to fit into DB Resolution / Service Provided:

• [x] buffer points at 3ft
• [x] convert buffer polygons to lines, keep attribution (uncheck box: Identify and store polyon neighboring informational)
• [x] deliver to Nathan.

Data Conversion

While the projects database is being built, it might be necessary to bring over SRTS point project data onto ATSD's database, which currently only accepts line geometry. The point data needs to be 1:Many joined to the projects csv, resulting in points being duplicated to match the number of projects that are happening in that area.

Data needed

• FGDB containing:
  • Point FC from SRTS
  • Projects CSV from ATSD

Steps

• [ ] Search for Make Query Table and add both datasets as inputs
• [ ] Create SQL Query pointsFC.CLUSTER_ID = projectsTable.SRTS_ID
• [ ] Leave remaining settings on default
• [ ] The table created is essentially a layer. Export data to a FGDB
• [ ] QA point data. Make sure points have been duplicated as needed
• [ ] Create 3 foot buffers around the points. Don't dissolve.
• [ ] Search for Polygons to Line tool. Uncheck the Identify and store polygon neighboring information.
• [ ] QA newly created line FC
• [ ] Deliver data
