Next steps - B-Cycle Analysis

Potential further analysis for site selection may include:

• Adjacency to bicycle facilities (not all transit stations with a high incidence with micromobility trips are located on bike-friendly streets, but a bike friendly street may be found a block away).
• ADA accessibility: It's possible that some of the transit stations that went inactive post CapReMap that meet the above requirement (like the one found on 6th/Chicon a block away from the cluster of active stops at 7th/Chicon) may also already be ADA-accessible.
• ADA accessibility 2: It is likely that few inactive transit stations will meet both criteria mentioned above, and new sites will need to be created. It would be interesting to see which places would be appropriate for replacing parking spots with an on-street B-Cycle station. On-street stations are more accessible to people cycling as they don't have to carry the bike over the curb to park it and keep the sidewalk ADA-accessible for pedestrians.

After meeting with David, the next steps of the analysis will focus on analyzing B-Cycle trip data and comparing it with dockless trips surrounding transit stations.

Analysis:

• [x] Filter out trips that occurred prior to dockless mobility's implementation
• [x] Filter out docks that are no longer active - [ ] Organize trip data by month - [ ] Find out how B-Cycle trips have changed over time
• [x] Compare B-Cycle docks' trips to dockless-near-transit trips

Striked-through tasks were eliminated because they are not necessary for this project. It would be interesting to have this information, but it is not part of the original request.
