“Wishlist” item: Is it at all possible to differentiate contractors from COA employees in the tracker dropdown somewhere down the pike? Perhaps there can be a ( C ) next to their names or something like that? I ask because while we only have 4 now, it’s expected that our number of contractors will eventually increase. This would eliminate the need for the leads to enter special comments when contractors were on the job.

I have updated all contractor accounts to have “(GWS)” for Goodwill Services after their name. This will show up in the drop down and the “Time” section on the work order will now look like this: (GWS). We can continue this practice moving forward. I have included Christina and Diana since it will be either them or me creating new GWS accounts in the future. The only thing that might get a bit tricky is when a GWS staff becomes full time. At that point, we would remove the “(GWS)” from their account but it will remove it from all records in Data Tracker as well. So when someone becomes full time, we would need to make sure we had invoiced all work orders they are on before changing the account or just remember the date they became full time and keep that in mind when invoicing to know if they were GWS or COA at the time of the work.

Hey, my idea is we can add a different field "Employee Status" to the accounts page to differentiate the contractors v. FTEs.

Kati

so we would deactivate their old account when they become full time and create a new account? that works for me

Diana

change the status to "inactive" when they convert
