School flashers

Description: Hi Diana - I noticed that the Asset Map uses the term "school flasher". Can we please change it to "school zone beacon"? Thanks.

Hi Jen,

I've renamed the "School Flashers" layer in the "Traffic Signal Assets" web map to "School Zone Beacons" as requested. Will probably have to rename the layer itself, however, I need to get with John to see if this will affect any of his publishing scripts.

Updated the layer description wherever there was the word "flashers".

After talking to John, updated feature service name shouldn't impact the scripts.

Check Api view for field name match, Check if Socrata table matches, Check AGOL table matches

I just checked SOCRATA and the name needs changing "School Zone Flashers". The feature service name is changed, but the underlying "layer" name still reads "atd_school_flasher_production". The only thing i've seen online is this help guide: https://support.esri.com/en/technical-article/000012562 but i didn't want to break the feature. I think I'll need your help on this again.

I recreated the feature layer, which is now called "atd_school_zone_beacons", on AGOL. http://austin.maps.arcgis.com/home/item.html?id=1ba4378ad37f41eb8907d66ff0df7eba Please let me know when the script has been changed so I can rename the layer title to "School Zone Beacons - Austin Transportation Arterial Management".

Jaime—layer looks good. Just need you to make a few minor changes.

• Delete latitude and longitude fields (these are stored in the feature geometry which is not exposed in the table)

• Change all date/time fields to date/time field type, they are currently string.

• Work with Diana or Alan to use the AGO Assistant tool to replace the school beacon layer on the Signal Asset map with the new service.

PLEASE TEST THIS with a copy of the asset map before you update the production map.

One more note: you can actually add/delete fields within AGOL, if you don't want to modify the desktop version and republish. Whatever you prefer is fine.

John - For the date/time fields I see only 2, CREATED_DATE and MODIFIED_DATE and they are both DATE fields. Which fields are you referring to that are strings?

Also, Diana mentioned that AGO Assistant wasn't working correctly when Matt was using it recently. I can try it on the copy to double check how it's working now.
