How to use remote devices ? #6

Open pyrog opened 7 years ago

I'am a newbie and I want to connect CubicSDR to radios over the Internet.

I found a list of RFSPACE SDR : http://sdranywhere.com/cloud/sdrweb.py How to set the port ? 50001 in this case

rfspace sdr ci000080

Do you have also examples for other remote devices ?

Thank you 😄

Hmm, it would be a good idea to expose the list of SoapySDR parameters at this point in the dialog..

Reading the code for the SoapyOsmo module; it looks like it parses the ':' character to extract the port from the supplied address.

Using this should work (the default is 50000 if not supplied):

addr=104.244.193.144:50001

I don't have many other remote examples at the moment; for the most part it just works when a SoapySDRServer is running on the network since it discovers it automatically or by using "add remote" and entering the IP -- rfspace in this case needs the manual parameters to work.

Cheers!

I don't have many other remote examples at the moment;

There is a online list here http://www.sdranywhere.com//cloud/get.py

I tested with some servers but got strange results (server not found or larsen effect)

I'm having the same issue, I've found what I believe to be remote addresses from airspy, but CubicSDR says 'Not found' for everything I enter, and the software seems quite buggy (0.2.4 on Mac).

There's either something wrong with all of the feeds (although the website they come from give a status of them being available), or there is something wrong with the application.

Here are some screenshots of what I encounter, hopefully they're helpful. Although it's disappointing the last moment here was in 2016 and has no replies since then.... are these issues being monitored?

This is how I'm entering the remote address, (as per the instruction above as an example).

As soon as I hit OK, the whole dialog seems to load up again (not sure if this is a bug or not).

And then shows 'Not Found' for whatever type of address I've added (there are lots other because I've been trying others).

Nothing is working, and it seems the software is just broken. Any ideas or tips?

Not working with Airspy as well, Not Found no matter what. It's broken.

The exact same thing is happening for me.

Same for me with v0.2.5 on macOS 12.2.1 on M1
