Cannot see/copy files on Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 #14

Hi! Try to attach a phone to a Gentoo linux box... use libmtp-1.1.11 mtpfs-1.1-r3

Same issue with a Moto 4G and also a gentoo GNU/Linux machine, libmtp 1.1.16 and mtpfs 1.1-r5. Somewhere along I read that it was a bug in Android 7, but I cannot find the page anymore.
