10 years ago Perhaps it would also be useful to have a dataset page also have a 'similar datasets' tab with links to other search hits that were reasonably close? Not so much user-driven but still possibly useful.
I think both of these would fit well with the idea of curated-lists, a delicio.us/pinboard.in for datasets.
A feature to make CKAN more useful by connecting people to other datasets they would like.
When looking at a dataset, you would be able to see a list of other datasets that users who had downloaded this one had also downloaded.
